Auroville Dairy Group (AVDG) standards compliance
Auroville’s Dairy Group, a subgroup of the Auroville farm group, consists of most dairy farms of Auroville and has been functioning for over 10 years. It meets once a month on a dairy farm and discusses and looks at the state of the dairies.
Over the years, the farmers have agreed upon certain standards to be transparent and treat animals ethically. On the label, you will see some colourful stars to indicate how far the standards are being met by a particular farm, and below you will see what they mean.
Also check the video in which Charlie explains the star ratings.
Please share your feedback or suggestions to improve our dairies and Auroville’s milk quality, and enjoy your milk!
